Choose your train and fare

Once you have specified your journey, you should choose your train time and fare. Our easy to use results shows you train times and fares straight away.

Select your seat on CrossCountry journeys

When booking a CrossCountry Advance train ticket online, you’re automatically guaranteed a reserved seat during your journey. Better still, with Seat Selector you can choose which seat you’d like to reserve, which is great news if you have a preference of window or aisle seat, or if you want to book a group of seats together.

Print your tickets at home or work with no queuing!

If you're buying CrossCountry, Grand Central or Virgin Trains Advance tickets one of the delivery options you can choose is an e-Ticket. Select this option and you will be emailed your ticket which you can choose to print off, show on your phone or display this on our train tickets app, saving you time and hassle. 

Changing my journey

Some tickets which have already been purchased can be amended. Depending on what you wish to change there may be a fee for doing so. Find out how to change your ticket.

You are now able to change the date and time of your Advance tickets booked directly through the CrossCountry website with no admin fee. You can find information on how to ensure your Advance ticket is eligible here.
